Terms of Service
Last updated August 4, 2026
Welcome to adhoc. These terms are an agreement between you and adhoc (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the adhoc app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What adhoc is
adhoc lets you tell friends when you’re free for a spontaneous call, see when they’re free, and start calls through your phone or other calling apps. adhoc is not a phone service: calls are placed through your device’s dialer or third-party apps (such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or FaceTime), and their terms apply to those calls.
2. Your account
You need a valid mobile phone number to create an account, and you must be at least 13 years old. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure. One account per phone number.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or spam other people, or use adhoc to contact people who don’t want to hear from you.
- Impersonate others or create accounts with phone numbers you don’t control.
- Attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service, or access other users’ data.
- Use the Service for anything unlawful.
4. Your content and data
You keep ownership of the information you add (your profile and call handles). You grant us the limited right to store and display it to your friends as the app is designed to do — for example, revealing your number to the one friend calling you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
5. Service availability
adhoc is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, and we can’t guarantee the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. SMS delivery depends on carriers and may not be available in all regions.
6. Termination
You can stop using adhoc and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Service (currently zero).
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use adhoc after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
