What is adhoc?

A private app for real friends. When you have a spare moment — a drive, a walk, cooking dinner — you open a short window that says you’re free. Friends get a gentle heads-up, and the first one to jump in gets the call.

Do my friends see my phone number?

Your number isn’t shown on your profile or friend list. When you’re free and one friend claims the window, that friend receives the calling details needed to place the call. Their phone or calling app may retain those details in call history.

What happens when two friends want to call at once?

Only one friend can claim a window. Everyone else sees that the moment’s taken — no awkward three-way pile-ons.

Is there a feed?

No feed, no likes, no streaks, no read receipts. adhoc only answers one question: who’s free right now?

What does a window look like?

Whatever you want: “driving for 40 minutes”, “out on a walk”, “I have something I want feedback on”, or “who wants to talk about the game last night?”

How do calls actually happen?

adhoc uses the calling apps you already have — a regular phone call, FaceTime, or WhatsApp — so there’s nothing new to learn.

How do I join?

adhoc is invite-only for now. Ask a friend who’s on it to send you an invite link. During the beta, the iPhone app installs through TestFlight.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account. It removes your data completely — see the Privacy Policy for details.
